Writer's Block: Friends of old
Do you have a childhood friend that you still think about and miss? What happened to him or her?

I don't usually answer these things because I really don't think anyone is interested. But this one is kinda relevent to my day to day life- or night to night. Every night for the last three nights, and on and off before that, I've been dreaming of my first friend that I made on coming to NZ. I really miss him, and I haven't heard from him in about five years - when we both finished school, and he moved out of his parents house.
So yeah, this question was a bit surprising to see first thing this morning. Any tips on how I would find him after all these years, and what would I say?

All I can suggest is the usual - Facebook, LinkedIn, even MySpace. I found a couple of old primary school friends through MySpace.

Um... if your school has an old students' club, or even just keeps alumni records, you could ask them if they have contact details for him? If you know where his parents' house is, you could look them up in the phone book and call them and ask?
